Triplets join Marianne Mayer Behler’s family

Three new grandchildren arrived on the same day for Marianne when her daughter, Emily, gave birth to triplets Lydia, Luke and Phoebe. All three babies were above four pounds and if you have ever been pregnant, you can imagine what carrying that weight around must have been like! Marianne flew out to Yakima, Washington, shortly after their births to help out.

The truly amazing thing about her daughter's family is that the triplets are joining 3 1/2 year-old twins, Anna and Elizabeth, at home! As Marianne said, "They are certainly going to have a story to tell".

And there is more to the story. As Marianne tells it, “At the end of WWII my Dad brought home parachute silk that would become my baptism gown, made by my Aunt Dorothy Mayer who was my Godmother. Daughters Tanya, Emily and Granddaughter Selah were all baptized or dedicated in it. Now they will be baptism gowns for Anna and Elizabeth. They are old but still very beautiful.”

She added, “I had no idea in 2012 that two more little ladies - Lydia and Phoebe would wear them for their baptism along with their brother Luke who will wear my son Eric's outfit from 1968.”
