Betty has always been creative and went from making animal sculptures out of Wonder Bread as an 8-year-old to more recently doing painting, computer graphics and writing. She has written and illustrated 5 children’s books and published poetry in leading children’s magazines. She also publishes and designs the cover for the monthly newsletter for her local Mensa group. A 5-foot seahorse that she was commissioned to paint for a local fundraiser last year was auctioned off for $9,000.
