Sweet memories for the Eberwhite kids

While searching for Christmas cookie recipes, Bonnie Bean Holzhauer found a recipe book her class had made back in elementary school days at Eberwhite. There was no date or grade level in the booklet, just room number 117, but it may have been 3rd grade. Bonnie wrote a post about it in the class Facebook group and listed some of the 33 recipes: Mrs. Standbridge's Graham Cracker Cream Cake, Mrs. Wahl's Marshmallow Cream Fudge, Mrs. Poulos's Banana Nut Bread, Mrs. House's Ginger Snaps, Mrs. Bloomer's Wintergreen Wafers. She added, "Mike Keebler, I'll be making your mother's Sugar Cookies." That elicited a lot of comments, including from Mike who remembers helping his mom put colored frosting on the cookies. Mary Lou Rigg still has her copy of the recipe book and Maggie House Conger had made her mother's Ginger Snaps from the cookbook just the day before.
