Every year for the last fifteen years, the four members of the AAHS ’65 State Championship Golf Team, George Malacos, Pete Fink, Bob Hallock, and Toby Burt, have gathered at different golf courses in special locations around the country to spend several days playing together. In the spirit of their championship play, they compete for the Coach Tom Wilson Trophy, named in honor of their great friend and AAHS golf coach. In 2020, getting together wasn’t possible, but Bob got in touch to let us know that this year three of the team members met in South Carolina in September to celebrate the 56th anniversary of their big win in 1965. Their beloved comrade, Toby, of the Class of ’66, died in August of 2020. Note the purple and white monogrammed golf shirts! They hope to keep this tradition going for quite a few years to come.
