When we were invited to have dinner and spend the evening on a houseboat in mid-December, I had a vague impression that it was going to be a rather damp and chilly affair. But there is nothing chilly about Kathy Kimball! Her home, right on Lake Union not far from Seattle’s iconic Space Needle, is warm and inviting, and its owner is the same. Kathy has lived there for many years and done a tremendous amount of renovation so that now, you could almost think you were in a comfortable house on land, except that when you look out the windows, you have water views on three sides.The night we were there, it was strung with Christmas lights reflected on the water. Magical!
