Pioneers deep in the heart of Texas

On the last night of Austin's famous South by Southwest festival, Bill Kirchen and his band rocked a crowd at Gruene Hall, the oldest continuous honky tonk dance hall in Texas. Beforehand, Bill joined a group of Class of '65 members for a dinner organized by Mim Streiff Poag and Colleen McLean Calver. Susan Magid Bergin and her husband, Ed, drove in from Boerne, TX, for it; Colleen and her husband, Lew, came down from Dallas with their son, Drew and his two daughters; Mike Bradley made the drive from Fort Worth; and Denny Olmsted and Nancy McArtor were visiting the Poags from Santa Fe and Ann Arbor, respectively.
