Old friends take a road trip

Barb Grayum Woods posted pictures in the class Facebook group of a trip that she and her husband, Gary, took with longtime friends and class members, Ken Storm and Sheryl Dale Storm, not to mention Max, their dog. The Storms lived in Texas for many years, but moved back to Michigan a few years ago and now live just 45 minutes from Barb and Gary. It’s a happy case of old friends becoming almost-neighbors again. Barb and Sheryl were actual neighbors in Ann Arbor, born just one week apart, and they have known each other for their entire lives. I asked Barb about their trip and she said, “It was our first camping trip together. We went to the Upper Peninsula for a week because Sheryl had never really traveled around the U.P. and wanted to see more of it. It’s one of Gary’s and my favorite places to go and we were happy to show it to her! The trees hadn’t turned yet but the weather was beautiful. We went to several state parks, going as far north as Copper Harbor, MI.”
