News about Scott Terhune

7/17/24. One of Scott’s two daughters saw a class email I sent and reached out to let us know that her dad had passed away just a few weeks before. In addition to sending his obituary, she wanted us to be aware of a fundraiser in Scott’s memory to support work on pancreatic cancer by the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle.

On reading the news about Scott in the class Facebook group, Robert Berning called him a “class act” and it seems that he was all his life. Passionate about his work, devoted to his family, an outdoorsman who thrived in the Pacific Northwest.

Sara Stubbins got to know Scott outside of school when they traveled to Spain after graduation with a group of students from Michigan and Wisconsin, and Colleen McLean Calver was in classes with him at the U of M.

His obituary notes his “gentle spirit and enduring kindness”, words that any of us might hope to merit at the end of our life.
