6/9/2020. Nancy was born in North Carolina, but grew up in Ann Arbor. Sara Stubbins remembers doing a lot with her when they were kids and Robert Berning recalls, “We went to Tappan together. She lived around the corner and up the street from me and we sometimes walked to school together.” Nancy had an outstanding career as an innovative and dedicated gynecologist and obstetrician in Chickasha, OK, and you only have to read the loving and grateful comments by former patients on the online obituary to understand how important she was to many women and their families. Over the years she delivered 3,192 babies! Some of her patients were with her for as many as 32, 37, or even 42 years, and they were devoted to her, as she was to them. Lauded as an exceptional doctor, she is also remembered as a wonderful, funny and kind person.
