9/24/16. Much of Mary’s obituary is written in her own words and it reflects her wry sense of humor, her kindness and generosity, and the wisdom honed by years of living with cancer. Mary said goodbye in her own way, wrapping up with these words: “So, my friends, I’ll end this note by saying I hope your days are filled with kindness, serenity, peace, love of fellow man, tolerance, and most importantly, good health. Oh, and don’t forget, NEVER GIVE UP.” Mary died in 2016 but we only learned of it recently.
