11/30/2017. David Johnson was able to track down an obituary from 2017 for our classmate and his close friend, Dave Fox. Known for his kindness and ability to make people laugh and smile, Dave put that to good use running the 90-year-old Fox Tent & Awning business that many of us will remember as an Ann Arbor fixture. He was the third generation of his family to do that and was very active in the community, in his church, and at his daughter’s schools.
But Dave’s real passion was flying. He earned his pilot’s license at 16 and with his wife, Becky, also a pilot, they built their life around flying, even adding an airstrip to their farm. Dave died of Alzheimer’s but held onto his smile until the end.
