3/12/2020. Vicki Guenther Farrell let us know that Dave had died suddenly at his home in Ann Arbor. He would surely have been touched by the affection and sorrow expressed at the news and would have enjoyed some of the memories people have of their school days connections with him. Barb Kendall Souza remembered, “One of the first boy/girl parties I ever went to was at his house.” John Stadel recalled, “We had a group of guys who did many things together, Dave, Dave Groves, Dave Johnson, myself and my brother Jim. Camping at Manitou, school dances, etc. I have many good memories.” Susan Magid Bergin commented, “He had the greatest smile!” and he sure did.
On July 3, 2019, Dave sent me an email update, saying “Still in Ann Arbor, still doing well. Life as always is good and I continue to believe in the following: The first thing I do each morning is to check to see if I’m breathing. If yes, everything else that day is pure gravy!" He ended his note, "I promise to be at the 55th reunion!"
