We learned from Judy Otts Dowding that her good friend and our classmate, Dave Bolhouse, died on August 24. He had been ill but was in good form at the reunion so this was unexpected and sad news. Some of us had extra time with him at a Northside Elementary School lunch on July 11. Dave's wife, Sue Laubengayer Bolhouse, was also one of our class members. They met in 11th grade and were inseparable for the next 51 years. They sent in a joint memory for the “I Recall” section of the printed program for the 50-year reunion and it went like this: “High school seems so long ago. We met each other at AAHS in our junior year and were sweethearts from the start. We’ve been married nearly 48 years now. Two kids, fun times, rough times, we’ve shared it all.” Dave and Sue always came to the informal reunions in July and we will miss his sweet smile at the next one.
