News about Dale Withers Peck

3/7/24. Dale’s son, Brian, was the one to share the news about Dale with us on Facebook, writing that she unexpectedly died in her sleep at a managed care facility where she was receiving treatment for lymphedema. He said, “it was a total shock as she was in good spirits a few days before, when I last saw her.” She was feeling really optimistic about getting strong enough to get her life back on track.

Dale was an active participant in many of the conversations in the class Facebook group, with her perceptive and candid observations, and several of our classmates commented on this, including Pamela Purdy Stephens, Sharon Ralph Gingras, Mary Martin Covell, and Judy Otts Dowding. Julia Steiner said, “I enjoyed getting to know Dale through this group!” Colleen McLean Calver told us that Dale was an active contributor on the Ann Arbor Townies Facebook page, too.

There was no obituary and that’s unfortunate because Dale was such an interesting person. She loved jazz and cars and knew a lot about both. She was very smart and a deeply loyal and caring friend.

Brian said that Dale was a supporter of "Paws in Need" and local domestic abuse support groups. He added, “They are both worthy of your support and I know my mom would like it as well.”
