Jim Osterberg gets an honor not even he could have imagined

As Iggy Pop, Jim has lived quite a life and the older he is, the more surprising it seems to get. He turned 70 in April along with the rest of us, and was awarded France’s highest cultural honor, the “Commander of the Order of Arts and Letters” by the French government. No, not for managing to survive until he was 70 (which might have been in question at various stages of his life) but for making a “significant contribution to the enrichment of the French cultural inheritance.” He appears in a new French film, “Starlight”.
