Two of the "big kids" in the class are Denny Olmsted and Stoyan Dulgeroff, and they even have the same birthday: January 11. Denny spent his day watching the national NCAA game between Michigan State and Alabama with friends at home in Santa Fe. He said, “I was really touched that they put the game on for me on my b-day. Congrats, Stoy, we be the old-timers.”
Stoy pulled out all the stops and went on a birthday cruise with his wife, Nancy. He told us, “We do a cruise every year on my birthday to celebrate my being alive for another year. We like the Celebrity cruise line because it is so luxurious and has the best food. This cruise was for 12 days and went to the southern Caribbean and South America. I love cruising because a cruise ship is a ‘safe haven’ for me. No doctors, no hospitals, no politics, just people like me who are there to enjoy life without all of its disruptions. We don’t even get off the ship anymore because we have been to all the ports before. I am so happy when I am on a cruise.” Here are pictures of Stoy and Nancy, and of their first room service breakfast. Stoy said, “We tried it all”.
