The Stanley Cup is the most traveled championship trophy in the world, going home for a day with each member of the year's winning team plus their managers, owners, and coaches. In 2018, that meant the Washington Capitals. On September 5, former assistant coach for Miami University and goaltender coach for the Washington Capitals, Mitch Korn, shared his day with the Stanley Cup. As a member of the Blue Line Club for the Miami Red Hawks, Mike Bradley was able to attend the private celebrations. A lifelong hockey fan, Mike said, "It was a once in a lifetime experience to get up close and personal with the cup" and you'll see Mike doing that in his Class Posting photos. He wrote, "The evening ended as the Stanley Cup was brought to Mac and Joe's restaurant for a private party. There were adult beverages and wings served from the cup." Yep, from the cup. Things a lot wackier than chicken wings have ended up in the cup over the years. Mike summed up the whole experience as "an all around outstanding day for hockey fans".
