Every couple of years or so a group of friends, some going back as far as elementary school at Angell, choose someplace new to get together. This year it was Hilton Head Island in South Carolina, where Carol Martin’s son lent us his wonderful Sea Pines Plantation condo. The erstwhile "girls" in the group who could come this year were Buffy Baker, Sally Fawcett Peet, Bobbie Goddard Lam, Nancy McArtor, Ann Ratliff Bernard, Francie Smillie,and Pam Ufer Wood. As you can imagine, when that group gets together, it's like being back in junior high, with all the hijinks, true confessions, fun outings, make-up tips and other girly stuff of a slumber party except that it lasts for four nights! This reunion was also the occasion for celebrating the marriages of two of the eight of us: Nancy in March and Carol in August.
