Eight friends who went to Carpenter Elementary School during the 1950's got together again on July 11 during the 50-year reunion weekend. Sandra Sell-Lee organized the lunch at the Kensington Court Hotel and Bill Brooks, Dawn Cole Kirk, Duane Brown, Sylvia Shippey, Judy Otts Dowding, Sharon Ralph Gingras, and Joan Hogan Fossum joined her to tell stories about those long-ago school days and to bring everyone up to date on what they've been doing since then. Small group gatherings like this one were among the most-enjoyed parts of the weekend for the classmates who attended them.
