Carol Martin marries her Pickleball crush . . . finally!

Carol took up Pickleball in 2012. The first person she met on the courts was George Daley. After 20 years of being a happy single woman, and George being a confirmed bachelor, the chances seemed slim that a lifelong commitment was in their future. But, love finds its own path and they were married in August after a 3-year courtship.

The wedding was held in a regal Victorian home in the Libbey House in Toledo's iconic Old West End. They had a beautiful ceremony with Carol's 5 year old grandson as ring bearer and George's 89 year old mother in attendance. Family and close friends from near and far made the day incredibly special. Granddaughters cut the cake and served champagne. Carol and George honeymooned in Jamaica, meeting the rest of George's family in Kingston, followed by a week of Pickleball competition on the Island's South Coast.
