Bob Carow, home at last

In the past few years, some class members have felt the tug of “home” and have returned to the Ann Arbor area. The most recent of these is Bob Carow, who left New York City after many years to become a Michigander again. Working with a realtor, he looked at homes in Ann Arbor, Chelsea, Dexter, and Pinckney before finding a beautifully-restored historical home in Milan dating from 1900. Bob said that he has found this small town of 5800 inhabitants to be very friendly and peaceful, with turn-of-the century homes (many with barns) and tree-lined streets. It’s going to take him a little while to get the house arranged, including organizing and shelving his 1000+ volume library!  He also reports that the docent at the restored Milan firehouse/jail agreed that he could check himself into the one cell jail if he feels a bout of orneriness coming on!
