2015 Update. So, since the last post Jill has finished pharmacy school. She worked at CVS for two years but now has a job she loves so much more. She is a clinical pharmacist at Health Net (a health insurance company) responsible for four or five formularies of Medicare Part D drugs. No white coat, no counting pills, regular hours, and they appreciate her. She will be getting married on May 30th (2015) to Dan Lahav at Lake Tahoe. They’ve been together for over twelve years now. (I told her not to rush into anything.) How things change. Barb and I got married at 21–Jill and Dan will be 32! Karen has worked for several years now at the California Highway Patrol Academy in West Sacramento. She started as a temporary office assistant and has been rapidly promoted to her current position. She is responsible for scheduling all the many facilities at the academy—classrooms, dorms, gyms, tracks, etc. We had the privilege of visiting on “family day” and touring the academy and watching an EVOC demonstration (Emergency Vehicle Operations Course). That is where six cars drive around the course in formation at stupid speeds doing things cars are really not supposed to do. The greatest percentage of cadets who do not complete the program do so because of failing the driving part. Victoria is still working in contracting at Oracle. Barb and I will be in Paris, Normandy and London this summer with the Sacramento Choral Society. I’m an alum of that group so we’re just tagging along, but it should prove to be a very good trip. I’m especially looking forward to the American Cemetery and Omaha Beach on the 70th year after D-day. Unfortunately, we will be missing the 50th reunion but hope that you all have a wonderful time. We’re looking forward to hearing the stories and seeing the pictures.
