A New Orleans-style open house kicks off a night of classic cars and country music

Ruth Ryan and her husband, Ted Graham, hosted an open house on July 27 prior to Chelsea's Sights and Sounds Country Night. Ted made jambalaya and Ruth welcomed Marianne Mayer Behler, Nancy Evaldson Mirshah, Colleen McLean Calver, and Camille Procassini. Bill Kirchen stopped by for a while before heading off to prepare for the show, which was rollicking, as always. His brother, Harold (Class of '70) joined him for a few songs, and during the second set, Bill invited Ted, a singer and guitarist, to join the band on stage. On the way to the event tent, the group stopped to enjoy the Chelsea Classic car show, where Steve Watson's BEAUTIFUL 1957 baby blue Chevy was on display.
